Berwagana Campground — Reviews

We don’t have private internet and the cell coverage was poor . It was near impossible to get any tv stations . The bathrooms need an upgrade .

Great campground

Nice park, nice sites, nice amenities. Close to several towns for necessary supplies. Great staff.

It was very peaceful and big lots

Staff was friendly. Cabin was clean. Camp ground itself was beautiful.

Fabulous time

The site I originally ended up with wasn’t big enough for even our camper. I will give them 5stars for taking care of that right away and moving us to a different sight. However all of their site pack people in like sardines. We didn’t have any area really where the neighboring children weren’t running thru our site on both sides of us. It rained the whole weekend we were there, obviously not there fault 😂, however I still managed to come home with a minimum of two ticks on myself. What this tells me is that they have them pretty thick and don’t spray or deter them in anyway. We went no where there was long grass. I try to give fair reviews. Like I said before the owners and staff of the camp ground get 5 stars from me. It’s just not what I’m looking for I guess.

The bathrooms were clean, so much fun things to do for the kids, bingo and live music for the adults. Great experience! Would have been even better if the weather cooperated. 😆

The full hookup sites are piled upon one another. Way too tight. And then add rude campers with loud music and drunkenness, it wasn't my idea of camping. The sewer connections on the full hookup sites can be within feet of your camp chairs or picnic table. Finally, I would say half or more of the campground is filled with seasonal campers, maybe 20+ years old. Many are shabby and not kept well. If you must stay, opt for the Electric only sites toward the rear of the park. Those offer more room and a little more privacy.

I was there 1 day . I really didn't get to check it out, but I liked it.

The camp ground was great, there was fun for everyone, the only thing I didn't like they had no internet, which you need internet for tv, and my hot spot couldn't fine anything

Everything was perfect except no wifi. That meant slow internet access and no television reception from streaming sources

Christmas in July was a good time. Staff was friendly and site was huge.

We were only here overnight while in transit from MA to Mackinac Island. We got in late. The office provided our campsite information leaving it on the office door. The campground was very clean. There seemed to be lots of amenities. Great playground for kids, a game room, ride on carts for rent. At night we were able to see what looked like a pond with lots of decorative lights from campers reflecting on the water . While leaving we saw that the pond had a huge inflatable and a raft to swim out to and jump from. Our only complaint was the campsite we were on (72) was difficult to determine exactly where the boundaries were to other sites. The site numbers are located on the electrical service of which there were 2 panels on the front and two on the back for sites 71, 71A, 72 and 73. There were 3 picnic tables and 3 fire rings near the electrical panels. We had a neighbor on site 73. The others were empty. There were multiple sewer connections but it was difficult to tell which ones went to which sites. We pulled in to the site and when we couldn’t figure out which hook ups were ours we then needed to turn around and back in so we could hook up to what we thought were our utilities. It was a good thing no one else checked into sites 71 and 71A because I’m sure we were partially on one of those sites. Otherwise Berwagana Campground was a well appointed, clean campground that is clearly well thought out and cared for by the owners. If we’re in the area again we would definitely come back!
