Claremar Twin Lakes Camping Resort — Reviews

The property is beautiful and cabin was very nice. However the aquaslides were closed during our stay and this information was not shared on their website or on campspot or to us when we booked. They advertised that the slides would be open but they were not. We only choose this campgrounds because of the slides. This is false advertising and was very upsetting for our children. This campground charges more than other campgrounds because of the slide therefore these amenities should be available to match the prices they are charging. They said the reason they are closed is because they didn't have any lifeguards. We should have been offered a discount on the other amenities. Example canoe to golf cart rentals.

After checking in we inquired about renting a golf cart. Lady told us they was all reserved. Called up to the office Saturday morning and once again office said that they was reserved. Meanwhile the whole time we was there there was at least 10 golf carts sitting there not being used. Our campsite was clear out on the far corner of the campground and the water pressure was crappy. There was a sewer dump station near us but it was locked up and we found another one past the office by maintenance building and it was the same thing. Locked up. Had to sit in a long line because the only one that was open was by the office. Campground is a decent place but we was wanting to rent a cart since we was so far out and we couldn't be helped.

WiFi still sucked and bathrooms still a mess

The staff was friendly and the park was clean. They accommodated us when we needed a late check out. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because of the noise. Most places we camp have quiet hours. There were tents beside us that stayed up almost all night carrying on. Their car alarm went off at 4:30 a.m. It was difficult to stay asleep. Other than that it was a very nice place.

Our family had so much fun! Everything was clean and cozy in our camper rental! The beach and pool were clean! The staff is super friendly and helpful! We’ll be back next year!

Despite website claim of lots of toilets and shower houses, there were 2 showers each in the only bathhouse on the property (and none were working when we arrived on Wednesday). Additionally 2 flush toilets in each side of bathhouse. Rest of property was serviced by porta potties. Pool was not open for 2 of our 4days and the spa tub did not have a working heater. Lastly, the hoses in the pump out stations were not usable as they were short hoses on a metal wand.

High prices require you were at life vest but don’t provide them want to charge a lot of money. Cabin was overpriced would not rent one again. Tiny pool camp sites really close together. They don’t provide towels for showering or even paper towels in the cabins.

Lots were very unlevel, not enough room to park cars by RV. We were across from the water slides. We had a vehicles off the road. We had an employee back into our golf cart. People were smoking marijuana somewhere close. We weren’t told about activities going on that weekend. A beautiful park, just need to look closer at things going on.

Campground is nice, but very crowded. Seems like they need more bathrooms/ showers as there’s lines whenever you try and do either. Also would’ve been nice to know what activities were going on when we first checked in, and if they are going to close the roads to cars for 3 hours… probably should let everyone know that.

We loved our site. We were right next to the lake. The sunset view was AMAZING 🤩

Overall, we had a great stay, we always do. We were a bit upset to see once we arrived that the big slide was gone, and also the pool wasn't open (yet?). Considering the cost per night went up this year, that's pretty crummy. With that said, we are still going to come back another time or two this season.
