Happy Trails RV Park — Reviews

The owners were wonderful people - friendly, family oriented, and accommodating. This campground is one of few we've been to that gives free fire wood. Our campsite was level and very spacious. We are planning a return visit as soon as possible. We highly recommend Happy Trails RV Park.

We enjoyed every minute. We are returning next week on our return trip home.

I needed a place for one night and this fit the bill. This is a mom & pop place, and perhaps a bit on the informal side of things. At the entrance is a sign to call a number and you'd be led to the campsite. If you get there after dark you might miss the sign. Anyways, the hostess was very charming and accommodating and chatted w/ me after leading me to the site. It seems like this place is expanding - a number of sites are still being built out. Trash containers not obvious, but there is one on the way out. One thing to note is that there are no bathhouses/restroom facilities - so you're going to have to use your own. cell coverage (T-mobile) didn't seem to be the best, and while the camp has gone out of its way to create an excellent wifi environment - it's still a work in progress.

The RV site is new and they are working out some kinks. WIFI is a bit weak but works. Being new there of course is a lot under construction. The owners are very nice and personable. Accidentally gave our guaranteed site that we paid for away. But they did refund this charge. Full hook up was great. Bring a long hose. Over all nice place considering other options in the area.

Overall, nice stay. Park is very clean, spaces are large with nice grassy area on both sides so you don’t feel on top of your neighbors. VERY quiet! Only took one star because there is a sign at entrance that says to call. When we arrived, we called and waited for 15 minutes. Finally gave up and drove to our site. Hosts finally called us back. It also happened to 2 others trying to check in on same day.

What a great park for exploring the area! We stayed 3 nights while exploring mammoth and the area and were absolutely pleased with our stay. The owners were so fantastic to chat with and so very kind to our boys. Great location and convenient to everything you needed. Our spot was one of the best with great views of the farm field and picturesque silos! It felt like a state park with the trees and tons of space at the sites. If we come back to the area we will be staying again.

Very nice, new park (lots are still being added). It’s very quiet, well kept, level lot, and the owners are so nice and welcoming. It is close to caves and other activities in the area. Would definitely stay here again!!

New campground. Still under construction, but no effect on campers. Very spacious sites. Very nice owners. Will definitely return when in the area.

The campground was nicely laid out with generously sized sites, clean, & the owner was super friendly! Great location, as well. We had no trouble getting our 48' fifth wheel toy hauler in & out of the grounds. The wifi speed was AMAZING. Our family will be back!!

Great place, accommodated us as a last minute reservation. Owner came out to offer assistance with setting up. New park, nice owner, would definitely stay here again.

A newer campground with large sites. We were only here for one night, as we travelled north to New Hampshire, the long scenic way from Florida. We will return again. The area is safe with many restaurants. The owners were very nice and told us about a local barbecue restaurant that was very reasonable and good.

This place is a hidden gem! Even though it’s still a work in progress as they expand the number of spaces they have; this place was beautifully kept and so peaceful. The owners were absolutely phenomenal! Some of the nicest people we have ever met during all our travels. When traveling this route in the future, we will definitely be staying at Happy Trails! We can’t thank you enough for the hospitality and the friendly conversations!!

Very nice BRAND NEW campground. Cannot wait to see even more as their planned improvements take shape. Charlie and Debbie were AWESOME hosts. We will definitely be back again.

The campground owners are so helpful and kind. The campground itself is new and I can’t wait to go back and see all the things they have planned come to life. We will definitely go back soon!

Debbie (park owner) was very friendly and made us feel so welcomed. Although the park is still under construction it was very beautiful and peaceful! I would highly recommend this camp ground and would love to stay again!

We loved this campground! The owners were very kind and hospitable. Our stay was very peaceful and there was plenty of space between campsites. There is a dollar general right beside the campground and several attractions for kids to do within a few miles (Dinosaur World & Kentucky Down Under). We can’t wait to go back to Happy Trails!

The utilities worked flawlessly, the lots were HUGE and the owners were so nice.
