Hawthorn Park — Reviews

Rated4.0out of 5Great!
The staff were fantastic and they maintained the campgrounds. Only issue was the women's bathroom: on my 2nd day I was using the restroom, I heard a man say to someone just sit their and dad will be done soon. Then he said I am going to brush my teeth. I left without saying a word. The sinks were left a mess. Today we checked out and had no power. My husband reported it to someone working at the campground. We have always enjoyed camping at Hawthorne and this was the first time any issues.

Overall, great. There was some loud metal music on Saturday morning that spoiled the mood. Otherwise, no issues. Recommend this place.

Hawthorne park is peaceful during the week it fills up on Friday for the weekend but it’s still relaxing - no wifi but att came in great Very secure as park staff have 24/7 patrols Heavily treed sites so starlink is not an option Park staff very active with ensuring cleanliness especially in the bathrooms

We were visiting our granddaughter at Rose-Hulman and this park was a perfect spot. We had water and electric. Our site was large and close to the bath house which was clean. Would definitely stay again.

Love this place! Spacious camp sites, great walking paths, bathrooms/bathhouse are always clean. The staff and campground hosts are welcoming. The lake is lovely and the option to fish is great too. Will be back!
