Jellystone Park™ Lake of the North — Reviews

Hands down one of the BEST camping experiences we have had yet! We’ve stayed at a couple Jellystone’s and I truly believe this might be the best one!! We came here for a Halloween weekend and Deanna makes the magic of this place come to life! 10/10 will absolutely be back again! Thank you Jellystone Lake of the North!

We had such an amazing Halloween weekend at Jellystone Park™ Lake of the North! From the moment we arrived, you could tell how much thought, creativity, and heart had gone into making the weekend special. The park itself is absolutely beautiful. The campsites are spacious, grassy, and surrounded by gorgeous trees, and the lake makes the entire campground feel peaceful and scenic. Even with all of the Halloween excitement going on, it was such a relaxing and beautiful place to camp. The other campers were friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was wonderful. A huge part of what made the weekend so memorable was Deanna, the manager. She truly went above and beyond. You could tell she had poured her heart and soul into creating a magical Halloween experience for everyone — not just the little kids, but the big kids like us too! From the moment we arrived, kids were running into the store excited to tell the staff where they had found scavenger hunt items and collect their prizes. The campsites were decorated incredibly, and there was always something fun happening — pumpkin activities, scavenger hunts, Halloween crafts, monster ice cream floats, spooky stories and s’mores, breakfast with Boo Boo™, trick-or-treating, costume contests, the magical pumpkin patch, glow wagon rides, the Monster Glow Boo Bash, and so much more. One thing we especially loved was the Jellystone app. Throughout the day, we received notifications reminding us about upcoming activities, including the location and start time. It made it so easy to enjoy everything without worrying about missing something. The amount of planning, creativity, and attention to detail was incredible. Deanna and the staff created an atmosphere that truly felt magical. You could see the excitement on the kids’ faces everywhere you looked. Beautiful campground, wonderful staff, friendly campers, great sites, and one of the most fun and memorable Halloween camping weekends we’ve had. We will absolutely be back! We were there over the 4th of July. The fireworks over the lake by all of the neighbors was unbelievable! it was like all of the homes on the lake were trying to outdo all the others. Overall, a nice friendly, quaint campground with a big play area for kids.

The ranger Smith visit was very disappointing. He was out for exactly 2 and a half minutes at 6 o clock over half the kids missed it my 3 yr old daughter was very disappointed so were other kids the llama llama read aloud with Cindy bear lasted exactly 3 minutes including pictures , the day staff was great the future fun crew ( the teenagers were amazing!!! Tuck in and wake up. Boo boo was amazing the kids had lots of fun with that ! The smell of suage was a bit much my daughter hated the same kind of smell from the pool bathroom, overall pretty ok stay the website for the west branch location was very misleading advertising bounce pillows and a foam party pad both were non existent!!!! The cabin was pretty nice n the lady that worked morning on made sure the kids got to spend at least 20 minutes or more doing bubbles with Cindy bear Sunday morning!!
