Luray RV Resort on Shenandoah River — Reviews

The place was very nice, my kid had a good time. However, the front desk lady was not helpful and very impatient when I ask for very general information.

Everything was clean and in great condition (sites, recreation areas, pool/slides, store, etc...). The staff were awesome and the location was great. My teenagers were never bored, so that was pretty awesome.

There was an issue with the fridge but they got us a new one quickly! We got yelled at for driving the golf cart at 10 to pick up our daughter from the park but there was 50 carts driving around an hour after that but overall it was pretty cool. The river floating is amazing.

Pool and slide were not available for a big part of our stay. Snack bar had no ice cream (advertised) and was closed when we wanted to use it. We would have planned differently had anything been posted regarding hours and closings. Nice park but needs to post hours, closings, and out of order.

It's a nice campground. Very clean & well maintained. The pool & water slides were great!

This is our second stay in Luray, and we LOVE this spot for our family with little ones. The river, golf carts, dirt bike area, and playgrounds are incredible— and can’t wait to return again when the water park opens. The staff is so friendly and made our stay truly special!

Very nice campground with engaging and friendly staff. Lots of things to do for kids and teenagers. I imagine this place gets crazy during the summer.

This is definitely a beautiful campground with a lot of thought put into activities. However, something needs to be done ref. the “scenic view deluxe” campsite of which we paid top dollar. No view and nothing deluxe. Do NOT waste your money. Also the dust from the gravel roads is unpleasant. Grass was not mowed in numerous areas. Your best bet would be renting a tiny home or airstream which management seems more interested in landscaping and maintaining.

The place is beautiful, clean with lots of activities! Well definitely be back!

The site was perfect (610), clean and landscaping well groomed. The entire resort is extremely clean, each site has enough of space to spread out and enjoy the great outdoors

Nothing bad to report, the only reason it doesn’t get five stars from our visit is they were just opening and some amenities were unavailable. So, we didn’t get the full experience. That said, HIGHLY recommend this campground.

We will definitely be back! We were in the RV section. The place is clean, spread out enough to feel like your neighbor is not in your space. There are things for the kids to do. The only downside is the hours of the store. I feel like it was closed more than it was open. When it was open the staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. I high recommend

Campground over all was great, the only complaint we have was the amount of car traffic riding around “exploring” the campground. We like to relax while we camp but it’s hard to do that when cars are up and down your street all day long creating a dust bowl. Other than that everything was great.
