Whispering Hills RV Park — Reviews

This campground is a different type than I’m use to. I like the campgrounds that have room, hiking trails, trees and fire pits. This campground does not have those things. Some sites did have the fire pits but quite a few did not including our “premium deluxe” site. There was one whole side of the campground that has at least 5 permanent campers, this just made it look like a trailer park. The sites are so close! Maybe 3 foot of grass between. Just not a place to go to actually camp. This is more of a driving through town, stopping for the night kind of place. It was a clean campground and no issues with anyone it’s just the setup of the grounds themselves. We will not be returning.

We love this site it is usually booked but we were able to get this time. We like how close it is to 75 and attractions in the area. One of our favorite stops on the way to the Smokies !! Check in is a breeze.

Park was clean and there were a lot of amenities for kids although we did not get to enjoy them much. The downside is the sites were some of the smallest we have seen with many of the spots have no grass between the parking spots and only enough room to open the awnings. We had one of the bigger spots, but the site was extremely unlevel, dropped off bad on the back side and the water connection was tall and up against the parking spot. This forced us to park more into the spot so the slideout could be opened. Price was reasonable considering the amenities, but would likely not return as we prefer bigger, more open sites so we can enjoy our time outside.

The reception was great, staff very pleasant - provided a direct escort to the RV site, washrooms very clean. The RV park is closer to the freeway than we thought - hear the traffic at night. And our departure was delayed due to RV park / site water shutoff valve malfunction - the staff was very responsive to fix the issue and get us on the road.

The staff is always great and the park is quiet. Great place to stay, this stop was just an overnighted though.

Clean, easy access to and in the park, good amenities, quiet

This is a great park for either an overnight stop or in our case a 5 night stay to see the Lexington area. The staff is very friendly and helpful and keep the park clean. We were here in the winter so there was not any activity at the pool or other outdoor amenities. I would recommend them and will stay here again when we are in the area.

Nice campground. I wasn't there too much during the day light hours, but from what I saw it's a nice place and quiet.

Such a nice little park! We enjoyed the sunrise over the pond, having a dog park, the pull through sites and wide turns that made it so nice & easy to navigate around while towing. We didn’t get to meet the check in crew as we checked in after hours but the office looked really nice & inviting, full of goodies. The bathrooms were really clean and were individual style in one big bath house which is always a plus. Pool looks great for summer! It was quiet and peaceful with plenty of things close by or a day trip away! Definitely recommend and would stay again if we’re ever in the area!

Very relaxing. Not to congested.

The air slides for the children were behind my trailer and all day long the kids using were unsupervised and squealed and yelled which made for a less than enjoyable day on Saturday.

This is a beautiful well maintained RV park with excellent amenities and a friendly helpful staff. Will definitely plan on staying there in the future.
