The view was not that great. The campsite was neat and clean. Just overall ok, I wasn’t that impressed with campsite. We ended up leaving 3 days early.

Best views from the site. Adequate size rv sites, kept well. Very clean facilities, showers and restrooms.

The campground was clean and in the woods. We were able to get on the park shuttle system at the entrance of the campground. There was a lobster pound shack across the street with an ice cream stand. Book early because they fill up fast.

So quiet, clean, picturest, polite happy, big enough sites, plenty of of trees,.. we are coming back. The hot showers, though coined, are reasonable and give you 5 min. Everything is nearby!

The R-2 site folks came in around 11 PM and spent the next hour or two setting up tent. The noise woke us up and could not get back to sleep due to noise until the tent was all set up and they finally stopped talking. Horrible night. Not sure why they were allowed to come in set up tent so late at night.

Nice campground! Lots of camping options, clean and well spaced lots. Close to Acadia and other points of interest. Near to Mainely Meats and Udder Heaven Ice Cream as well as Bar Harbor Lobster Pound (and Ice Cream). Also close to Pirates Cove Mini Golf! Nice views from the campground of the bay and sunrises! Nice laundry facilities. Nice staff.

They advertise “Ocean View.” It’s a harbor, not the ocean. And exactly 10 of over 100 sites peak at the harbor. The “view is excellent from the back of the laundry or bathhouse. Sites closest to the “ view” have no shade at all. The bathrooms are spotless and there don’t seem to be long-term seasonal campers. $80 per night was too expensive for this campground.

We loved our 5 night stay. Quite campground. Loved the bus service to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

Sites are sloped more than typical. Road entering was horrible, dips and holes.

Our site was a lot smaller than listed with very little shade, no privacy, and was right next to a dumpster (J16 spot). It would have been nice to know that this particular spot was not the same as the other larger, shaded tent sites. We ended up leaving a day early because of the poor site and conditions. Also, firewood was $8 a bundle, which was quite expensive, there was a roadside stand not far selling bundles for $5. There also wasn't any WiFi and cell service was low.
