Camp Dearborn — Reviews

Rated3.0out of 5
Camp Dearborn is a huge campground. Pretty empty during the week, but packed on weekends. During our stay the lakes were closed due to high e-coli levels.

When we first got to our site and opened it up, it had a strong odor of skunk. There was a huge hole under our site and it was a nesting site for skunks. Our kitchenette was covered in ants & had old food on the counter. I made sure to clean up nicely when leaving. Other than those issues my kids had a blast as well as myself. We will try camp Dearborn again.

Campsites were clean but too close together. Had other campers walking through my site regularly.

Their quiet hours start at 11pm. Nobody in the park office or other staff are there after 11pm. We had a group of campers by us that were playing loud music with the “boom” effect till 3am in the morning. Plus they had a microphone singing…horrible voice to add to that. While we love the park and all that the upgrades they did, they need to start quiet hours at 10pm or have staff on site to monitor. There answer was to call the state police non emergency…..why should I have to make a call. They need to fix this issue. Many campers were talking about it in the morning and said they won’t be coming back.

Easy check-in, pleasant employees, spacious sites and really nice neighbors. A bit road noise from General Motors Rd but tolerable. This is our second time staying here in our RV (was here as a child 50+ years ago)!

We have taken our dog there many times and very pleased with the care he gets. I like seeing how happy he is on the dog cams. Their cost is reasonable and they have great staff Thank you

Upon entering Camp Dearborn, the signage was clear as were the directions, and the staff was extremely friendly. Our site (we camped in the primitive area) was clean, our surrounding fellow campers were very friendly and our children had a wonderful time at the multiple playgrounds within a 5 minute walk/drive. We will definitely be back!
