Charlottenburgh Park — Reviews

My families experience at Charlottenburg park was beyond frustrating and the least accommodating of any campsite we’ve stayed at. First, I called to ask permission to pull into our lot based on the safety concerns we had for our 4 year old non-verbal autistic son who is a flight risk. We had permission last year and I wanted to make sure we had it again. The response from the female supervisor was, “if I said yes to you I would have to say yes to everyone and just because it’s a safety concern that’s not going to pass for us to accommodate that” as frustrating as that was, we parked correctly and paid 9.00$ extra to have our second vehicle. We camped with family members and had others join us for dinner and a fire. We parked the 4 vehicles on our empty lot since we were containing the children in between our families trailers. Approached by a female supervisor, asking us about the vehicles, we told her it was for the kids safety and for us to have them visible at all times as the kids were riding their bikes as well. No car was parked on the road and ALL vehicles were paid for as well as the lot that they were parked on. She told us all, “I understand and that’s fine as long as nothings parked on the road and it’s for the safety of the kids” we accepted and she went on her way. 3 hours later at sunset the female supervisor approached us again and rudely said, “I told you to fix those vehicles, 2 per lot only and I’m done being nice” we explained again about the kids and how she was fine with it before, she quickly came back with, “move the vehicles, we’re done here” as other family member dangerously parked close to where the children were playing since they had to be parked past the next lot pole, the supervisor continued to be rude as she was driving away in her truck saying, “just do it, follow my rules” clear as day she yells, “have a nice fucking day” To say our experience with the staff at Charlottenburg park was poor would be kind. I won’t return, especially since they provided zero accommodations for my child with a disability AND provided such rude treatment to a situation that could have been handled in a professional manner.

Wonderful site but washrooms old

We had a great lot, it was a little wet but we had a downpour Saturday evening so it’s to be expected. Gate staff was friendly. Lot was easy to back into. Water and electricity hookups were perfect!

The toilets and the washrooms of the camping and the beach are in very bad shape and quality They absolutely need to be renovated How come there is no faucet and no sink in the beach Visitors don’t find to take water or wash some dishes

Loved the campsite and the mature trees in the park. Fantastic swimming beach (sadly closed due to bacteria). Generally speaking a family campground but there was one campsite up partying and with loud music until 4:30 am on a Saturday night. Not sure where the park security was?
